Cuarzo y Cascadas en Catamarca: la Quebrada de Siján

🌿 Discovering Estancia Santa Lucía – Sierra de Ambato, Catamarca 🌿 In this video, we invite you to experience a unique adventure in the heart of Catamarca, exploring one of its most surprising and little-known corners: Estancia Santa Lucía, located on the western slopes of the Sierra de Ambato, near the town of Siján, in the Pomán department. Our journey begins in the city of Catamarca, traveling along national and provincial routes, ascending mountain roads to reach 1750 meters above sea level, where a hydrothermal quartz mine with kaolin once operated. Today, this site steeped in history has been restored by a family committed to ecotourism, sustainable living, and direct contact with nature. 🏞️ During the journey, you will enjoy: Breathtaking landscapes sculpted by water and wind erosion. - Forests of viscotes, carob trees, hackberry trees, pepper trees, and ferns. A river with a year-round flow, crossed by rocks and along natural trails. A series of waterfalls (“Los Chorros”) located above 2000 meters above sea level. Unique geological formations and deep V-shaped ravines. 🥾 We embarked on an 8 km round-trip hike with significant elevation gain, guided by David, Fabricio, and Milagros, who know the area well and are passionate about sharing the natural richness of this watershed that originates at the foot of Cerro Manchao. 🌱 The experience is complemented by daily life on the ranch: the vegetable garden, fruit trees, animals, and the idea of transforming this space into an educational farm and rural lodging, always under the premise of responsible tourism. ----------------------------- 🎶 The music accompanying the video is original, and the entire project is independent, created and financed with our own resources.
