The world situation has been dramatically altered by the war with Iran. The global economy has been hit hard, President Trump's approval ratings have plummeted, a serious rift has formed between the United States and Israel, and Iran, having effectively gained control of the Strait of Hormuz and secured a favorable memorandum of understanding, appears to have won. Furthermore, European countries and other nations around the world are beginning to re-evaluate their relationship with the increasingly reckless United States. What will become of the relationship between the United States and Israel? We spoke with Professor Seiko Mimaki of the Graduate School of Global Studies at Doshisha University, author of "American Wars and the Global Crisis: What Will the Iranian Invasion Bring?"
