In this video I explain the theory behind the color wheel and I share the color mixing strategies to create vibrant colored pencil art. If you are a beginner painter, it's also useful for you to see how color works and what you can do to understand the color harmony in art. I explain definitions, warm vs. cool color mixing, value vs color, chroma and neutralized color including the desaturation process of hues. I show how to mix tint, shade, and tone of every color. Then I show color relativity and how you can leverage it. In the end, I give several color-mixing ideas, including mixing dark colors without black and mixing light colors.
