This story begins in Florence, Italy. A man named Sergio Marquina goes to visit his brother Andres. He tells him about his old plans to rob the Spanish mint. His brother is living in a chapel, surrounded by luxury items, all stolen. Andres shows Sergio his plan to steal 90 tons of gold from Spain's national reserve. A plan even bolder than the mint itself. And then Andres marries a woman named Tatiana. He intends to make the most of his life before he dies, as he has a terminal illness and will only live a few years. And among these adventures before dying, Andres dreamed of stealing all the gold from Spain's national reserve. To do this, he posed as a financial expert and consultant and managed to get a meeting with the governor of the Bank of Spain. There, he ordered a bomb to be detonated, so he could analyze the entire security system and how people acted in intense moments. He could closely analyze all the measures, in addition to advising the governor to invest the entire national reserve in gold. Thus, he was further increasing the wealth he wanted to steal. And soon Andres trained his son Rafael to participate in high-level robberies. But Rafael stole much more than his father expected. Rafael stole his father's wife, and Tatiana went to live with him and left Andres... Sergio Marquina, who would later be known as Salva or The Professor, ordered a clandestine tunnel to be dug, 26 meters long, connecting one of the mint's vaults to a safe exit. This tunnel was built 5 years ago to begin the plans for the great heist. It was dug by 4 Serbs, 3 men and one woman; they are not a direct part of the mint invasion plan that would be developed years later. But they would be waiting to act and free the robbers who were eventually caught in the heist. A couple who committed crimes together managed to pull off 15 robberies with complete perfection. Until the 16th crime, they are caught in the crossfire and one of them dies; the survivor would later adopt the name Tokyo. In revenge, she shoots the security guard who killed her boyfriend and flees. Thus, she began living a life in hiding and trying to leave the country. Tokyo's Recruitment: Silene Oliveira's mother joined the police to help find her daughter, so Tokyo one day decided to call her mother. And warn her that she was leaving the country, but the police were already waiting, with the phone tapped and the area where their house was located completely surrounded by snipers. So she couldn't return home. The professor, who had been planning the robbery of the mint for many years, became interested in the woman's skills and decided to investigate her life. Soon the Professor introduces himself and shows Tokyo the photos, with the police surrounding her house. In other words, she has nowhere left to go, nor a family to trust. But the Professor brought the solution, offering Tokyo the opportunity to join the greatest heist in human history. Together with Tokyo, the Professor gathered 7 more criminals who didn't have much to lose but had unique skills. These combined skills would be ideal for carrying out the perfect crime. In the first lesson, the Professor introduces himself and they choose the names they will use during the heist.
