I left Thailand… and leaving made me question my life here. After about a month without a proper video on my YouTube channel, Romain Thailand, I wanted to explain why I disappeared. In recent weeks, I left Hua Hin, traveled to other parts of Thailand, explored Laos, and then returned to France. This trip forced me to take stock of my time living abroad in Thailand. Living in Thailand isn't just about enjoying the sun, the beaches, Thai food, and the cost of living. When you live here long-term, there are also visas, paperwork, money, projects, mental fatigue, being far from France, and that question that sometimes comes up: is living in Thailand still the right choice?
