Da Nang Cruise Port - A Day in the Imperial City of Hue
This is part 1 of my visit to the Da Nang, Vietnam cruise port. Today we take a day trip into Hue, the imperial city of Vietnam. We stop at a Pearl shop before making our way to the Imperial Citadel where we get to be among some of the first tourists to be privileged to visit the newly renovated Palace of Supreme Harmony. Then we walk among the grounds of the imperial palace and ornate gates, buildings, statues, pagodas and temples. We go to Hotel Saigon for a Vietnamese buffet lunch and then on to the Tu Duc Tomb which is more like a palace itself than a tomb with a quick stop at a community which manufactures and sells incense.
