Las claves para vender la felicidad | Edgar Cabanas | TEDxMadrid
Happiness has become the greatest—and in many cases, only—aspiration of most human beings. But strangely, this yearning also makes it the cause of our dissatisfaction, since we never manage to feel it as we should or expect. Psychologist Edgar Cabanas asks whether we truly understand this concept and encourages us to recognize the tools the happiness market uses to try to persuade us. With just five key points, we will understand how the world's most desired product is sold to us every day, and once we recognize its mechanisms, perhaps we can decide where what we truly need to feel happy lies. PhD in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Madrid and researcher at Camilo José Cela University. He is co-author of the book "Happycracy: How the Science and Industry of Happiness Control Our Lives," with Eva Illouz, which has already been published in 10 languages. He is also the author of numerous scientific articles dedicated to the critical study of happiness, where he analyzes its political uses, its roots and social consequences, and its implementation within the fields of education, work, and consumption. / ecabanasd This event took place on September 21, 2019, at the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid, with the theme RETROFUTURO.
