#RomeNutritionWeek2026 | Day 3 - 27 May 2026 - Thematic Session 7 - Scaling Up Local Food-Based Approaches for the Management of Acute Malnutrition: New Evidence and Opportunities for Local Food-Based Strategies in a Changing World - FRENCH This session will present and discuss emerging programmatic experiences and unpublished research on local food-based approaches to manage acute malnutrition in Bangladesh, Ivory Coast, Mali, and Ethiopia. It will explore how FBA can complement existing treatment models, particularly in contexts where access to SFFs/SNFs are constrained. Such strategies, if proven feasible and effective, may close the programmatic gap between healthy diet promotion for prevention and management of acute malnutrition.
