Disneyland Railroad full Grand Circle Tour September 2025

This is my video of the entire Grand Circle Tour of the Disneyland Railroad, filmed in Sept 2025. Happy 70th anniversary to this classic attraction! We start & finish at Main Street Station. This one has changed the least since Disneyland opened in 1955. The population sign used to be updated frequently, but not in the last decade. We then travel thru the foliage of Adventureland's Jungle Cruise, before arriving at New Orleans Square. At this station, the dedication of Disneyland is presented in Morse Code. Then we travel past Haunted Mansion Holiday, and inside Tiana's Bayou Adventure. A trestle takes guests over Bayou Country, past Ray’s Berets and Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, and then another trestle takes guests towards the Rivers of America and Frontierland. Much of this section was rebuilt in 2016-17 to accommodate Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Regardless of my thoughts on the amount of real estate dedicated to this franchise in Disneyland (Too much), I think they did a really nice job enhancing the Rivers of America at that time. Now the train passes over a long trestle that includes many scenic elements. The Mark Twain Riverboat passes thru as it has since 1955, while many waterfalls and animals add more kinetics to the back portion of the river. Mike Finks Cabin is perched on the river, while his Gullywumper sits on the river. This boat is reused from the Mike Fink Keel Boats (1955-1997). A Native American Shaman greets guests, and nearby a family of Natives is gathered at their Teepees. Big Thunder Mountain can then be seen towering over Frontierland, before passing some foxes and into another tunnel. This takes us out of Frontierland and to Toontown station and Fantasyland. That station was built in 1988 for the Videopolis dance club that opened next to it's a small world in 1985. A couple years after that fizzled out in 1990, in 1992 the station was rethemed to Mickey's Toontown station to complement the nearby land that opened in Jan 1993. That station has not seen any major changes since 1992. Strangely, they never bothered to put the station on the Toontown side of the track. Then the train passes the majestic white & gold it's a small world façade, as it has since 1966. A great addition to the plethora of kinetic energy at this façade, providing a close up look at the Clock tower, Clock parade tracks, and real gold leaf on the building. Then we head into the trees towards Tomorrowland. On the way we pass the "Agrifuture" billboard. In Tomorrowland we can see the Autopia (Finally getting electric cars in 2026), and the abandoned PeopleMover tracks (A sad remnant of a better Tomorrowland). Next, we travel into the fantastic Grand Canyon and Primeval World dioramas. The Grand Canyon was completed in 1958 and features static figures of the animals, trees, and birds typically found in Arizona's Grand Canyon, as well as typical weather and a beautiful mural of the landscape. The music is the Grand Canyon Suite. From 1958-1992, it played on a loop throughout the scene, and since then it has played on the train speakers. Next is the amazing Primeval World. These historic dinosaur animatronics are from Ford's Magic Skyway at the 1964-65 World's Fair. Although the ride was too large to be in Disneyland's footprint, the dinosaurs were saved and installed in this previously empty section of the Railroad, where they have entertained guests since Summer 1966. For the first 20 years, a different piece of music played on a loop. For several years from c.1986-1992, there was no music, and since 1992 the Mysterious Island theme music has played on the train speakers. Then we arrive back at Main Street Station.
