Tangkuban Perahu

Thick fog and gusts of mountain wind shrouded the rim of the Ratu crater at Tangkuban Parahu, Lembang, with temperatures reaching tens of degrees Celsius. Amidst the chilly air, a sea of tourists crowded the area, clad in thick jackets, enjoying the exotic charm of the crater and the aroma of sulfur. This iconic area north of Bandung always manages to attract visitors, especially during the holiday season or weekends. Upon arriving at the parking area, the bone-chilling cold air immediately greeted us, contrasting with the enthusiasm of thousands of travelers walking along the crater's edge. The sound of lively conversation mingled with the rush of tourists from various regions, mingling with the white clouds of sulfurous smoke rising into the air. Many visitors took advantage of this serene moment to take photos with the majestic expanse of the crater in the background. To ward off the chill that sometimes penetrates thick jackets, tourists often stopped at local stalls along the tourist route.
