This iconic neighborhood was born as an ambitious urban development project promoted by the National Construction Company (NACO), with the vision of creating a "small city within the capital" that would offer all the necessary services to its residents. It was developed on the grounds of the former General Andrews Airport, owned by the Hernández Matos family.
