🏟️ Montreal Olympic Stadium roof replacement - update as of April 2026 + bonus photos

In this video, we fly over the Montreal Olympic Stadium and take a look at the roof replacement project as it looks in April of 2026. In this new phase of work, they are installing the new technical ring which will hold ventilation, lighting and a new sound system. The Olympic Stadium is famously known as the "Big Owe" for it's roof problems, cost overruns, etc which have plagued it since it opened in the 1970s for the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics. The roof replacement project will cost approximately one billion dollars Canadian. The project is expected to be finished sometime in 2028. This video was filmed using my DJI Mini 4K Drone.
