China Just SHOCKED the World...(America don't have this) I have truly never ever in my entire life seen anything like this. China's infrastructure and smart tech in Shenzhen City are way ahead of America. China is simply on another level, this is unlike anything I've witnessed elsewhere. China is the future! Once it’s linked, you can use palm payment at supported locations. There is no chip in my hand, and it’s definitely not the only way to pay. Cash, cards, and normal phone payments are still accepted too — this is just one of the newest options. FACIAL RECOGNITION FOR THE METRO In some places, you can also use facial recognition to access the metro. After registering through the relevant app, your face can be linked to your payment method, allowing you to pass through the gates without needing to scan a code or tap a card. Again, it’s just another payment option, not the only one. ISLE 2026 ISLE 2026 is one of the major trade shows for display technology, audio-visual equipment, system integration, and LED industry innovation. It showcases a huge range of cutting-edge tech, from massive LED installations to smart display solutions and digital innovation being used across different industries. DRONE DELIVERY Drone delivery was seriously impressive to see in person, and in my case when I used it in Shenzhen, it only took around 10–15 minutes. From what we found, drone delivery can also dramatically reduce single-use packaging waste and lower last-mile delivery emissions for eligible orders compared to traditional food and drink delivery. DRIVERLESS TAXIS Yes, driverless taxis are already operating in some parts of China. They’re not science fiction or just test footage online — people can actually book and ride them in certain cities and designated areas. It’s another example of how quickly this technology is being rolled out in real everyday life. GANGXIA NORTH Gangxia North Station is one of the most futuristic metro stations in Shenzhen, and probably one of the most impressive I’ve ever seen anywhere. The design, the scale, and the overall atmosphere make it feel more like a sci-fi set than a normal subway station. HIGH-SPEED RAIL China’s high-speed rail is another thing people always ask about. The network is massive, modern, and incredibly efficient, connecting huge distances at speeds that make travel between major cities fast and convenient. It’s one of the biggest reasons travelling around China feels so advanced and seamless. UNILUMIN Unilumin is one of the major companies behind many of the advanced LED display solutions seen across China and around the world. They produce everything from huge outdoor screens and stadium displays to smart commercial screens and creative visual installations, and their technology is used in a wide range of public spaces, events, and major venues.
