Jenna Hauer Austrian Waltz International Dance Test
The Austrian Waltz is the second of the international waltzes that Jenna has tested. She says it has the feel of the Starlight Waltz, but on steroids. She also says that this dance feels "vertical" while the Starlight is "horizontal" if you speak "skater." Feedback included: "very good pattern and placement," "The steps were quick but skated, not skidded, especially the rotational 3s before the restart," "Twizzles were superior," "edges very good depth," "very good waltz expression," "nice strong relationship between partners maybe could be a bit closer," "flow and speed was very good," "controlled well," "plenty of power and control," "flow maintained throughout," "good carriage and holds," "distance/tracking between partners varies at times but is generally good," "good turn execution," "stately waltz danced with ease and control expected," "Beautifully danced!," "great control and ice coverage," "performed the intricate moves with ease and elegance," "you took my breath away," "It was a WALTZ for sure!!," and "Thank you for a beautiful dance!" May 31, 2025 test with Quinn Carpenter at Cabin John Ice Rink - passed with Honors, received one Distinction. #waltzwednesday
