Physiology: Classes of Hormones (Steroid, Peptide, and Amine) Brief Overview!

Hello my Amines, Today we are going over the 3 classes of hormones: Steroids, Peptides, and Amines. Steroid Hormones are derived from cholesterol and are able to diffuse through the lipid-bilayer. The two types of steroids are corticosteroids and sex steroids. Next, we have peptide hormones that use ligand-receptor interaction. Lastly, we have amine hormones. The two types are catecholamines and thyroid amines. Catecholamines bind to surface receptors whereas thyroid amines diffuse through the bi-layer. Instagram: https://instagram.com/kishan_devkaran...
