Welcome to The Blue Mouse Knits! Today I will be teaching you how to knit a christmas stocking garland. In this video I will walk you through all the steps for knitting mini stockings to hang in a garland in your home for christmas. I know its almost Christmas, but I've had this in the works for a few weeks now and didn't want to waste the opportunity. So whether you make it this Christmas or next, I hope you enjoy this pattern :) This is my newest free pattern, a mini stocking garland knitting pattern. I loved making this, and I hope you do to. I walk you through all the steps to make these stockings, the icord loop and how to attach them to the garland string. If you want to do the 1 row stripe version: Work the cuff in Color A (CA) and then alternate colors for 11 rounds in the leg instead of 12 rounds (ending with a Color {CB} round). Then, start the heel with CA, and work all, but the last heel row in CA. Work heel row 16 in CB. Then begin alternating colors again in the foot and end with the toe in CA. 2.) If you want to do the thicker 3 stripe version. Work the cuff in Color A (CA), then alternate colors in the leg (4 rounds each) for a total of 12 rounds. Work the Heel as normal. For the first 2 rounds of the foot, work in the same color as the heel. Then, change colors every 4 rounds for the next 12 rounds. Your foot will end up with 14 rounds instead of the written 12, but it’s the only way to have the cuff, heel and toe all the same color with 4 round stripes. Then work the heel in CA.
