Coldiretti Arezzo con la Toscana a Bruxelles, contro la sforbiciata mortale alla Pac
Coldiretti Arezzo, the Italian Farmers' Confederation of Farmers, represented Tuscany at the Brussels demonstrations. The Arezzo delegation included President Lidia Castellucci, Vice President Enrico Lelli, Agrimercato President Leonardo Belperio, Youth Delegate James Lewis Benedetto, and Director Raffaello Betti, along with over twenty thousand colleagues from many European countries. They denounced the CAP cuts, which will result in resources flowing into a single fund, which will have a devastating impact on the countryside. For Italy, this represents a net cut of €9 billion, rising to €90 billion for the entire EU. For Tuscany, the reduction will hit 35,000 businesses like a tsunami, leaving them without approximately €300 million over the next seven years, or between €40 and €45 million annually.
