Police Pursuit of Bank Robbery Suspect by Moline Police Department on 3/27/2019

At around 10:05 A.M. on March 27, 2019, a suspect identified as Roman Thomas Lloyd of Rock Island, Illinois, entered the Ascentra Credit Union in the 3000 block of 7th St. in Moline, Illinois and said to a teller, "this is a bank robbery. I need $20,000." The teller removed all the money from her drawer as well as the other tellers for a total of $16,878 that the suspect left with. At around 10:15 A.M. a MPD officer spotted the suspects vehicle, a white Nissan Altima, and began a pursuit that went through Moline, IL, Rock Island, IL and Davenport, IA, crossing state lines multiple times. Roman T. Lloyd was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Rock Island, IL on January 11, 2022 to serve 72 months (6 years) in federal prison with no possibility of parole, followed by 36 months of supervised release for the offenses of Bank Robbery and Interstate Transportation of Stolen Money.
