$1 Trash utility knife to must have EDC maker knife!
I transformed this vintage Stanley 199 aluminium craft utility knife into an epic polished every day carry (EDC) makers knife. This utility knife cost me £1 at a carboot sale. ($1 at a garage sale) and it was well used and grubby from its life of hard work. I was inspired by the transformation of other knifes on Stanley tools Instagram page and then found out after I’d done mine that scout crafter had ran a competition on this a year ago. Honestly I just thought they looked amazing and wanted one myself, it turned out so nice with the contrasting black that I added a pocket pull and steel bead made from a square nut and scrap leather. The blade is non retractable so of course it isn’t really true EDC but it looks phenomenal and certainly forms part of every day use tool kit. I hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think!
