In the world of photography, there seems to be a misunderstanding of what truly is a gimmick vs a real feature. A gimmick is something that ticks the marketing box but doesn't provide an aid in your photography, or an easier way to do something. Things like Film sims, image filters and such are under the gimmick category. Things like faster AF, higher FPS, Subject recognition which all help you capture an image are not gimmicks. Which brings me to the feature that no other brand has (sorry Canikonyfupanumpus shooters). Pentax Composition adjustment. If you shoot macro, this is fantastic since you don't need to move your tripod to fine tune your composition! So, if you're a macro shooter and don't have a Pentax camera, You should look into them as your dedicated Macro camera. It just does things that other brands just can't.
