1978 The World Skate Challenge - Ice Capades vs. Ice Show Stars (Cranston, Lynn, Magnussen)

A Dick Button concept for the professional skating scene, creating teams of Canada's Ice Show Stars versus Ice Capades stars completing individual elements in a fun team format. The skaters are Toller Cranston, Janet Lynn, Karen Magnussen, Gordon McKellen, Wendy Burge, Kath Malmberg, Candy Jones & Don Fraser, Janet & Mark Hominuke, Donald Knight, Richard Ewell, Jojo Starbuck & Ken Shelley, and Melissa Militano & Johnny Johns. This concept of solo element competition would later be seen as a very small part of The Battle of the Sexes pro competitions in the 90s, and the short-lived Top Jump competition of the early 2000s.
