Rozen Maiden Battle Royal -Dear My KunKun- Story Mode (Suigintou)
Download the game here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/r35co8... Rozen Maiden is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by the artist duo Peach-Pit. Beginning serialization around 2002, the story follows Jun Sakurada, a middle school student who, after withdrawing from society, is chosen to become the master of a Rozen Maiden - sentient porcelain dolls who fight against each other to become a "perfect" doll - named Shinku. Video games based on this manga series - both official and unofficial - have been made since its serialization, and today's video is about one of these fan-made games. Rozen Maiden Battle Royal (subtitled "Dear My KunKun") is a doujin fighting game developed and released by nori200575. Last updated around 2007, nori200575's website shut down around 2010. With that, the game was basically pulled out of distribution, with several copies floating around the internet for those interested in trying this game. A bit of a shame, because this game is pretty weird, in a way that it warrants interest. On a surface level, this game is quite basic. Three attack buttons of different strengths, dashing, launcher combos, and parrying (not shown here), but there are also character-specific quirks. Some characters could only chain attacks standing or crouching, and some can't even do it. Besides being able to only chain crouching attacks, Suigintou (who in the source material is an antagonist and central character), for example, could airdash and even float above the ground. Anyways, Story Mode has (basically) all the Rozen Maidens (at least, the ones revealed in the 2004 anime adaptation up to that point - I think that this game is based on that anime) duke it out, the winner receiving Detective Kun-Kun (a doll from a TV show that appears within the anime). Suigintou's ending has her leave the doll (neglecting to give the doll to her master, Megu Kakizaki), only to find it discolored as a result of leaving it in a cool and dark place. Her route ends with a note encouraging players to dry their stuffed animals in the sun frequently. One final note: I believe they ripped out character voices from the 2004 anime adaptation? I didn't watch that yet, so I can't be sure, but I could recognize Rie Tanaka's voice, and she in particular voices Suigintou across all anime adaptations and (official) video games.
