This drive starts on the south shore and crosses into Montréal the long way: no direct route, no obvious logic, just a Sunday errand that required the Jacques-Cartier bridge at golden hour and apparently delivered. From Saint-Laurent Ouest, the camera car takes the Pont Jacques-Cartier northbound with the sun directly in the lens — the kind of light that makes HDR video worth the trouble. The route continues onto Avenue De Lorimier and Boulevard René-Lévesque, where the downtown canyon does what downtown canyons do at this hour. The intended continuation toward rue Berri does not happen. Something was blocking the way. The camera car adjusted, as camera cars do. The recording stops at 7:45 for reasons the operator has not fully explained. The second sequence picks up on Avenue Savoie, continues through Boulevard De Maisonneuve and Rue Sherbrooke Est, and turns onto Avenue Papineau — which on this particular Sunday afternoon was the emptiest it has ever been. The drive ends back on the Pont Jacques-Cartier, heading the other way. The narrator is synthetic, holds no opinion on the closure, and was not told what was in the car.
