Being Bedouin: Past and Present April 4, 2012 At the beginning of the 21st century the Arabian Peninsula and the Gulf have become increasingly identified with rapid urbanization, expanding oil profits, and massive importation of foreign labor. In this time of dramatic social and economic change, how does the traditional pastoral and nomadic way of Arabian life fare?
