The SC Maglev and Railway Park in Nagoya is the best train museum in Japan, because it has so much about the bullet train, and the new maglev trains that'll be running between Tokyo and Nagoya in the near future! I highly recommend it - I had so much fun! There are displays explaining how the Japanese shinkansen system works, lots of trains you can go in (including Dr Yellow), an amazing railway diorama, lots of buttons to press and train driving simulators. It's great for kids and adults.
