"Hello, friends! Still in the spirit of independence, on August 17th, we celebrated Indonesia's 77th Independence Day in our neighborhood association (RT). We held a tumpeng (rice cone) decorating competition, and it was really fun! The event was lively, starting with making flower decorations using cucumbers and carrots. The women had started preparations in the kitchen early in the morning, but since the event started at 12:00, they only had to finish decorating the cake, as the other dishes were almost finished. After the flower decorations were finished, we continued decorating the rice containers. The containers were creatively designed using long beans as the sides. Then, one by one, the rice and vegetables were arranged beautifully on the containers. And what was unique was that we used coconuts to create beautiful and attractive containers for the chili sauce. Although we were a bit rushed because it was already 6:00 a.m. and the event ended after Isha prayers, everything still went smoothly. There was a division of tasks, with the women in charge of cooking and serving the food, while the men were in charge of creating stunning decorations for the containers. Tumpeng. The results were truly stunning! Our tumpeng containers were shaped like duck tomatoes, with unique coconut sauce containers. We also made a decorative archway out of Styrofoam, adding to the beauty of the event. And finally, the long-awaited moment arrived! The tumpeng competition began, and each Dasawisma (Student Association) produced an extraordinary tumpeng creation. We, Dasawisma 5, won first place! Our hard work was worth it, and we are so happy with the results. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this event.
