Making a classic style stitching pony

I've seen several versions of the stitching pony over the past few weeks. Almost all of them used a threaded rod and a nob to tighten the leather in the jaws of the clamp. Adam Savage went so far as to make an overly complicated clamping mechanism. But none can beat the original design in my book. Here is my take on it. I'm Kip and I like to do a wide variety of stuff.
