Witness safety takes centre stage at Madlanga Commission
Witness safety and security dominated proceedings at the Madlanga Commission today. This after the inquiry declined to reveal how Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala’s testimony will be conducted next Tuesday, while self-proclaimed police informant Tumelo Nku’s testimony was indefinitely postponed. The commission has, however, confirmed Matlala’s appearance as concerns grow around witness protection. Security analyst Eldred de Klerk weighs in.
