NEVER LEAVE THE STOVE UNATTENDED!!! 1. Check ash level from previous fire and empty tray into metal bucket 2. Leave 1cm to 2cm ash for wood fire or empty for a coal fire 3. Clean glass with dampened paper dipped in ash 4. Place paper then kindling followed by larger pieces of wood 5. Ensure air vent is fully open (turn anticlockwise) 6. Light paper and push the door closed, leaving it ajar 7. Wait for stove flue temperature to rise above 50 8. Place larger logs on fire 9. Once temperature is about mid way in the white zone, close the air vent by 50% by turning in one and a half turns clockwise Cleaning 1. Wait until the fire is completely out and cooled down overnight 2. Take out the ash pan and empty outside into the metal bucket 3. Replace the ash pan and use the riddler handle to lower the ash level to around 1-2cm deep for a wood fire or empty the ash completely for a coal fire 4. Clean the inside of the glass with a piece of dampened paper dipped in the ash
