Being located in Downtown Salem where a Dept of Social Services office is located right next door, there are lots of families who ride the bus and must walk a block to the bus stop and wait in the cold. My knitting and crocheting community were all in to provide items such as, hats, scarves, mittens, cowls and shawls, to keep people warm during the cold months making items that are hung outside the shop for anyone to take as needed. In addition we have also been able to provide items for our local clothes closet, churches and homeless shelter.
