We Almost Gave Up Finding Camp on Vancouver Island

We thought we had a simple plan for the night on Vancouver Island: find a quiet spot near the ocean, make camp, and settle in. That plan did not last long. The ocean site was full, one riverside option did not feel right, and another spot came with enough warning signs that we decided to keep moving. So we pulled up the map, followed the forest roads, and hoped the next turn would lead us somewhere worth stopping. By the end of the day, it did. This is what we love about traveling this way. The plan may change, the road may take longer than expected, but sometimes the place you find after everything else falls apart is exactly where you were supposed to end up.
