In April 2006, steam locomotive glory returned to the romantic routes in the Wetterau for a few days. On 04/21 50 2740 trundled along with a local freight train from Friedberg to Niederdorfelden. For the 22.04. the plan then envisaged covering a passenger train "over the villages".
