The Lost Chord — Sere ni Vakaemeni | Kadavu Choir | Annual Music Festival 2025 Last Friday night, we offered one of the most breathtaking moments of the Festival with our rendition of The Lost Chord, known in Fijian as Sere ni Vakaemeni — a song that speaks of a melody so divine, it feels like it comes from Heaven itself. “Au reki ni’u a rogoca, Dua na domo ni sere vou…” A sound so new and beautiful, it stirs the heart. “Sa vaka e voqa yawa, memela yawa tu…” A heavenly echo… distant, yet full of peace. “Sa vaka era lagata tu, Nodra vakaemeni, vaka-aleluya emeni…” A moment where Heaven seems to draw near, and the heart recognizes the echo of God’s peace.
