President Cyril Ramaphosa is poised to sign the National Health Insurance Bill into law. The Bill was initially presented to Parliament in August 2019, by the then Health Minister, Dr Zweli Mkhize. The Bill has faced strong criticism from various political parties, businesses, and health practitioners over the years, although some sectors have welcomed it.
