Over many years of working with video stocks, I've learned that buyers generally don't care whether your video is shot at 25 or 30 fps. I shoot footage about 8-9 seconds long, using 4K resolution (though Full HD is fine too), and the H.264 codec in an MOV container. No bells and whistles, and ProRes is the only option if you're aiming for Hollywood projects... But I know my content is mostly bought for YouTube, documentaries, and inexpensive commercials. Thanks to this simple approach, my wife and I were able to generate an income that allows us to travel for years and raise twins! My personal best is almost $6,000 per month from the video stock alone. And that's without any fancy bells and whistles. Pre-production is more important than post-production! Consider the "stock" quality of your footage in advance, churn out more content, and don't try to "make a fuss."
