There is a story of the establishment of the temple of Banana Mother. About 300 years ago, an unknown hermit reached a banana village. He had made his residence on a bach tree on the bank of the river outside the village. He had a statue in his hand. According to the sanyasi, the statue was of the mother and the place where the statue would just go, it could not be lifted again. The sanyasi had given up his life under the tree after years of penance. He had left my mother locked up in a hut. According to the legend, the statue is about 500 years old when the ancestors of the hermit from Kaurikamakhya came to perfect it. On the second day of the death of the sanyasi, Raja Saheb Loknath Singhdev had a dream of his mother. Maa said in a dream: I am sitting on the banks of the river Tumhari to protect your kingdom and you see me and worship me and protect my hut (temple). The next day when the king went on foot to the place he saw that a statue of the same goddess as he had seen in his dream was sitting there wat ped me. The temple was immediately built by order of the king. After the worship of Maa, the annual dance was held at the Kera Royal Palace on the night of April 12 after Garia Bhar. This event was also organized by Raja Saheb Loknath Singhdev and Maa Bhagwati is worshiped from April 9-1 One year on the night of April 12, the dance was going on. The old man palm tree was going on. The king approached the woman to request her seating, but she withdrew from the presence of the beautiful form and slowly walked towards the temple. Seeing this, Raja Saheb also moved back and forth. When the king reached the temple, the beautiful woman disappeared. At the same time, the king resolved that from today on April 13, the Chhau dance would be held in front of the temple. Since then, every April 13, there is a dance here. Every year in April, Chhau dance is held at the Kera Temple. The worship of Maa Kera starts from April 1 in this temple. Kalika Ghat starts at 6 am on April A seven-foot pit is dug from Dahaniduba, 150 meters from the temple. From there, water is brought to the temple by a ghatwali. It takes four hours to cover the distance of 150 meters. After reaching the temple of this ghat, the door of the temple is closed. During this time, Maa Banana is sacrificed by the devotees.
