Rath loses his memory and finds himself requiring the help of some homeless people to help him remember who he is and what he does again. Meanwhile, Scarab is attempting to drain years out of homeless people in order to add hours into his own life. In ancient Egypt, an evil sorcerer named Scarab, kills the pharaoh's son, Prince Rapses, so he can become immortal. Entombed alive for his crime, Scarab revives in the modern world and begins his search for Rapses's reincarnation, a San Francisco-dwelling boy named Presley Carnovan to retrieve the spirit of Rapses and once again, live for another 3500 years. Presley awakens Rapses's mummified bodyguards, Ja-Kal, Rath, Armon, and Nefertina, along with Rapses's mummified cat, Khati, to protect him from Scarab. They use the power of Ra to transform into powerful guardians. 35 centuries into the future, the mummies must learn our modern ways of living, and let go of their ancient past.
