L’Evolutive Vaccine Facility : un nouvelle unité de production flexible et digitalisée

At our Neuville-sur-Saône site, we are building a new, next-generation vaccine production unit: the Evolutive Vaccine Facility (EVF). Thanks to cutting-edge digital technologies, the EVF stands out for its flexibility and modularity. This new type of factory is designed around a central unit housing several fully digitalized production modules that will allow for the simultaneous production of three to four vaccines, compared to just one in current industrial sites. This modularity will allow the four modules to be quickly switched to the production of a single vaccine in order to increase supply levels and adapt rapidly to public health challenges. Another key feature is that the EVF is compatible with all technological platforms and can therefore simultaneously produce inactivated vaccines, recombinant protein-based vaccines, messenger RNA vaccines, enzymes, or monoclonal antibodies. Scheduled to be operational by 2025, the EVF represents the future of vaccine production. The construction of this revolutionary factory will allow us to be the first player in the pharmaceutical industry to have such an industrial tool and to secure vaccine supplies for France and Europe in the event of new pandemics.
