Founded in 1937 by the renowned ballet master Pavlo Virsky, the VIRSKY National Ensemble is celebrated around the world for its spectacular performances, combining breathtaking skill, energy, colour and emotion. Under the artistic direction of Myroslav Vantuch since 1980, the company continues to preserve the exceptional standards and spirit established by its founder. On stage, 60 dancers deliver a dazzling display of strength, speed, acrobatics and grace, bringing Ukrainian folk traditions vividly to life. Full of joy, humour, romance and optimism, Hopak is one of Ukraine’s most iconic traditional dances. This performance captures the beauty, resilience and cultural richness of Ukraine through movement, music and colour.
