Not all waiting is a sign of forgetfulness. Sometimes, it is within the silence that God is preparing the most necessary visit for the soul. In Acts 1, the Lord Jesus instructs his disciples not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father's promise. They did not yet understand everything. They had questions, memories, longings, uncertainties, and a mission too great for their own strength. But before they could walk, they needed to be clothed from on high. And how many times does our life also go through this place of waiting? The sister prays for her family, cries out for her children, asks for health, for peace within the home, for deliverance, for comfort on difficult nights, and for an answer that seems to take a long time. But the Word teaches us that God does not abandon those who persevere in prayer. The upper room shows us a precious lesson: before the promise was fulfilled, there was unity, supplication, and perseverance. Everyone was together, seeking God, waiting for the power of the Holy Spirit. And even today, the Lord strengthens the heart that remains steadfast, even when the eyes do not yet see the answer. Jesus ascended to heaven, but He did not leave His own helpless. The Father's promise continues to be a comfort to the weary, direction to the confused, strength to the weak, and hope to those who have wept in silence. In this holy service, meditating on Acts 1, receive this Word with faith. The God who commanded us to wait is also the God who fulfills the promise. He knows your home, your pain, your family, your illness, your worry, and every prayer that you and your brother have presented before Him. May this Word renew your hope and strengthen your soul.
