Future fit infrastructure - Lisa Antonio This presentation will outline the Victorian Health Building Authority’s (VHBA) current pipeline as it delivers health facilities that are energy-efficient, environmentally sustainable, and resilient to future challenges. Priscilla Radice will share how VHBA’s evolving design principles are shaping infrastructure that goes beyond functionality to enhance patient dignity, staff wellbeing, and overall user experience. The session will explore VHBA’s focus on reducing embodied carbon in new projects and highlight a $40 million energy efficiency program driving the decarbonisation of existing hospitals. It will also introduce VHBA’s Digital Build & Data strategy, which leverages technology, including Building Information Modelling (BIM), to transform the infrastructure lifecycle, support innovation, and deliver sustainable outcomes across the health portfolio.
