SHOP NOTES: The Shopsmith 18" jigsaw was the state of the art for many years, though it was later replaced for scroll and fretwork by constant-tension scroll saws. Even so, it's a great tool for simple jigsaw work and even better it can do a few tricks that you can't do with a scroll saw. This video covers the basic setup and use of this tool and we'll get into those tricks in next weekend's video.
