Interesting Cycling Data
Another solid Zone 2 ride this morning, with a bit of threshold work mixed in to keep things interesting. I averaged 25 km/h today, slightly quicker than my usual pace, while keeping my heart rate controlled and steady in the endurance zone. That’s exactly the balance I’m aiming for right now—building fitness, improving efficiency, and supporting my ongoing weight-loss journey without accumulating unnecessary fatigue. The power data tells the story perfectly. I maintained a steady average of 148W throughout the ride, with a few planned surges peaking at 561W to add some threshold stimulus. Those short efforts help build strength and speed while the overall ride remains firmly focused on aerobic development. This was my 13th time riding this route, and I’m definitely starting to dial it in. Familiar roads, consistent pacing, and controlled effort are making it easier to track progress and see improvements over time. Today’s effort score of 16 sat right where I wanted it—challenging enough to drive adaptation, but controlled enough to recover well and be ready for tomorrow’s ride. Consistency remains the goal, and another solid morning on the bike is another step forward. #Cycling #Zone2Training #SpecializedCreo #HeartRateTraining #EnduranceCycling #WeightLossJourney #DubaiCycling #CyclingLife #Garmin #Innertubeless
