Shibantan Street, formerly known as Shibantan Town, is a township-level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Xindu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, People's Republic of China, Shibantan Street existed in the Qianlong period, and in the Daoguang period, sat in the “Dongshan five fields” of the first chair. The Hakka people in Shibantan Street accounted for more than 95% of the town's population, and the whole town is rich in Hakka culture, with well-preserved Hakka folklore, architecture and dialects.
