As someone who grew up in a Venezuela without record stores, for me, they became this mythical, magical place that, once they returned, now needs to be cared for and preserved to ensure that our world doesn't lose that magic of a place dedicated to music, and especially to physical music, an art that in the streaming era seems to be increasingly scarce, regardless of the infinite benefits of owning the music you listen to... This is why I took on the task of documenting all the record stores in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, a place that has historically had a very beautiful connection with record stores over the years, a legacy I seek to keep alive by giving visibility to all the physical stores I know.
