First, simply slide the ring onto one of the hooks, then open the ring and pass the adjacent hook through it. The end result is that the split ring is placed on two hooks. I don't know the size of the treble hooks; I simply went to the fishing store and picked them out by size, holding a store-bought mandula and estimating what hooks I'd need. The treble hooks are selected by size: the largest one first, the smaller one in the middle, and the end hook with the fur trim, the smallest of the three. It's important that the split rings articulate freely; the EVA blanks shouldn't jam them. This will ensure that all segments of the mandula have sufficient freedom of movement.
