K1 Speed Drift Night 1/3
Karts are fitted with plastic rear tires while the fronts are normal grip slicks. As you can see I couldn't hold a drift for one turn. My goal was to find the maximum drift angle possible before I spin out, however that wasn't going to happen until I understand throttle control. To hold your drift angle you can't floor it. Once you feel the kart kick its tail out, you feather the throttle. Avoid slowing down or using the brakes for any reason because you will lockup the rear tires. The key here is to keep the weight to the back using the motor's power and speed. Avoid sliding with the steering wheel on full lock because you will have little to no steering left to prevent you from spinning out. Experiences like drift night are better late than never. Anyways happy drifting.
