The Terraced rice fields of Aoni Hamlet.(青鬼集落の棚田)

Important rules to follow when visiting : You must behave quietly and unobtrusively so as not to disturb the local residents. You must not under any circumstances enter the rice paddies, fields or residential areas. The stone walls are important cultural assets; do not touch them. As it was the perfect time for rice planting, we went to take photographs of the terraced rice fields in the Aoni hamlet (青鬼集落). The air was damp and the light was soft, but the mountains in the background were shrouded in clouds. The terraced rice fields were filled with water; it was just the right time for rice planting, and perhaps because of the overcast sky, there were no tourists to be seen and a sense of tranquillity hung in the air.
