Beautiful Girls - Van Halen

Great way to end the Van Halen II record from 1979. Beautiful Girls is a groovy tune that cheers up anyone in a bad day. I’m using a Seymour Duncan 78 on the Kramer 1984. The 78 is a bit more raw than the JB, that comes by default on this guitar. Check my previous comparison video,    • Seymour Duncan JB and 78 pickup comparison  , if you’re curious about the sound difference. I also used, for the first time, the MXR Echoplex preamp. It really gives a bit more “thump” and smooths the highs. Having the Marshall SV20 with everything on 10, the preamp really smooths the sound a bit and gives a bit more punch and gain (very slight).
