Una mañana en Salas Boxing Academy

Las Vegas, Nevada is considered by many to be the combat sports capital, including boxing. Gyms are on every corner, but you won't find the talent you see at Ismael Salas' gym everywhere. From Dominicans, Mexicans, and Americans to Cubans, there's a mix of all kinds of boxers here, and no one is discriminated against. You'll often see the Guantanamo-born trainer working with more than one boxer at a time, but you'll never see Salas overlooking anyone. Today we had the opportunity to observe Erislandy Lara, a legend among Cuban boxers. We also saw Thomas Dulorme, a talented Frenchman with Puerto Rican roots who, despite coming off two consecutive losses under Salas, is starting to regain control of his career.
